Poco X3

Xiaomi POCO X3 is a 6.67” touchscreen phone with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 732 G processors with 6GB RAM. It runs on Android 10 and is powered with5160mAh and 33W fast charging. The rear camera has 64MP, 13MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensor.

It runs on MIUI 12 and Android 10 with 64GB of storage that can be expanded. The device supports dual Nano SIM card. It measures 165.30 x 76. 80 x 9.40mm and weights 215g. The sensors on the phone are accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and fingerprint sensor.

The phone is available in Cobalt Blue and Shadow Grey colors. The connectivity includes Wi-Fi, Infrared, GPS, NFC USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G. Design:
You can find Gorilla Glass 5 on the front side, polycarbonate on the back and aluminum on either side.

There are no motorized cameras or sliding functioning. But, the brand Xiaomi does not disappoint from the old way phone design language as per bold approach. The name of the brand “POCO” is printed in the rear panel on the back. The circular rear camera has the top and bottom cut off as it looks distinctive and unique. You can find metallic accent around the camera.

There are two variant- Cobalt Blue and Shadow Gray. Also, there is big stripe on the back of the panel. On the left, you can find dual SIM and microSD card slot. On the right side, there is volume button with the button-fingerprint. On the top and bottom, you can find blaster and microphone and USB-C port, headphone port and microphone respectively.

You can find the rear panel is made of plastic which does not crack. It has the weight of 215g which feel heavy in the hand. The crisp haptics is the new thing on the phone. POCOX3 is a budget phone where you can find haptics that are hollow.

Xiaomi is a good done with the vibration motor. The Xiaomi POCO X3 has IP53 rated which means that the phone is protected against water and dust. As a whole, the POCO X3 is an aesthetic fair at a budget rate.

Display: The Xiaomi POCO has a 6.67 inch display enclosed with thin bezels and punch hole at the center-top. The display sport is large which has a high refresh rate. The device comes with 440-nit sustained high brightness. It is fast and responsive. The refresh rate is 120Hz and 240Hz touch polling rate.

The POCO X3 falls behind the calibrated display but is the fastest phone in such price range. One of the downfalls is the shadowing effect on the edges as it is more visible around the off axis area. The Xiaomi POCO X3 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G meaning the phone is not compatible for gaming.

You can use the low end games like Clash Royale, clash of clans to smoothly run on the phone. High end games like PUBG bring its chipset’s limitation. The 6GB RAM is fairly good to use until and unless the hardware is not pushed to the limits.

Battery: Xiaomi POCO X3 has 5160 mAh battery which can go through two full days. For people who love being on their phone, POCO X3 can handle the usage till the bedtime. The 33W charging brick will charge your phone in an hour. Also, the Xiaomi does not include any wireless charging on this range.

Software: The POCO X3 runs in MIUI 12 with Android 10 which is disappointing as Android 11 has been released after the phone’s launch. The software lacks from the stock Android however manages applications, data services to optimize for battery life. There is lot of pre-built software which can be removed so that you do not get any spam notifications. Mi Remote can help to use the phone as a multimedia remote with the help of IR blaster. Second space hides the important and confidential data and apps. The MIUI 12 helps to subsidize the device’s cost. Camera:

Xiaomi POCO X3 has a good camera quality with main, selfie and ultra-wide camera. The pictures are pretty decent with color details. You can easily upload good quality pictures on your social media. On zooming in, you can see smoothing and noise reduction as well.

The ultra-wide camera gives you low detailed image. In low light, the device takes clean picture which is one of their major benefits. Unfortunately, POCO X3 has low video quality. It can shoot Ultra HD 4K video with heavy contrast. You can notice crushed shadows on the videos. Audio: Xiaomi has upgraded the earpiece speaker along with the main speaker for the stereo effect which is loud and clear.

It also supports great range of Bluetooth including aptX and LDAC. Value worth: Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC was launched on September 7 2020 globally. It was launched as POCO X3 in India on September 22 2020 without the NFC suffix. It is one of the best phones to buy on such mid-range budget. The screen resolution, good camera quality, performance and battery power is a complete package at the range along with best audio setup, add on features and unique designs. All in all, the Xiaomi POCO X3 is a fantastic device to find on a budget range which offers the best services to the users.
