– This smartphone was recently introduced on May 12, 2020 by the Chinese Electronics Giant, Xiaomi which is also known as MI (Mobile Internet). Xiaomi is an internet company with smartphones and smart hardware connected by IOT (Internet Of Things) platform at its core. In August 2020, this company made the Fortune Global 500 list for the second time, ranking 422nd, up to 46 places as compared to 2019. It also ranked 7th among internet companies. Xiaomi follows a strategy of “develop hand in hands with customers and act responsibly to environment and product.” In product design, they use renewable and recyclable materials with hazardous substance free to protect the environment. In future, Xiaomi will do its best to reduce the hazardous substances in products as far as possible.

Redmi usually releases the best budget phone with most upgraded specifications which can even be compared to expensive smartphones that cost much more than the one of Xiaomi. The Redmi Note Lineup has become an important pillar in Xiaomi’s smartphone industry. Now in the ninth generation, this phone (Redmi Note 9 Pro Max) is as attractive as ever been. Redmi uses its own user interface known as MIUI and Redmi note 9 pro max itself uses MIUI 12. In terms of android version, Redmi note 9 pro max uses android 10 which is currently one of the most updated android version. It has 64GB/128GB ROM with 6GB/8GB RAM. It is 209g in weight and 8.8mm in thickness.

The Redmi Note 9 pro max has 6.67” screen with HDR that can support 1080x2400px resolution. It has a body of 165.5x76.7x8.8mm and is 209g in weight. It also has Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back of the phone with water repellent coating. It has both front camera (Single-camera with wide lens) and rear camera (Quad-camera with wide lens, ultrawide lens, macro lens and depth lens). It also supports fingerprint sensor which is side mounted in this version. It also has earphone jack (3.5mm). Currently it is available in Aurora Blue, Interstellar Black and Glacier White color.

Redmi Note 9 pro max – The Inside Look;

The Redmi Note 9 pro max supports Android 10 with user interface MIUI 12 which is currently one of the most upgraded android versions and MIUI version. It runs on the Octa-core processor (2x2.3 GHz Kryo 465 Gold and 6x1.8 GHz Kryo 465 Silver); GPU - Adreno 618; Chipset – Qualcomm SM7125 Snapdragon 720G (8 nm). In terms of memory, it has 64GB/128GB ROM as well as 6GB/8GB RAM. It has battery of 5020 mAh and is non-removable and also supports Fast-Charging (33W) (50% in 30 min as advertised). In terms of sensor, it supports fingerprint (side mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass. In terms of communication, it supports WLAN (Wi-fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot), Bluetooth (5.0), GPS, Infrared Port, USB type-C 2.0, FM Radio.

Front Camera: It has Wide camera lens of 32MP on the front side.

Video Capture: The video in the phone recorded through rear camera is in 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, 720p@960fps while through front camera is in 1080p@30fps.

Sound: It has loud speakers with 3mm jack for earphone too.

Battery: It has Li-Po 5020mAh non-removable battery which supports fast charging of 33W (50% in 30 min as advertised) and a charging plot for Type-C charger.

Misc.: It has fingerprint sensor(side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, infrared port, FM radio, GPS and many more.

The Redmi Note 9 pro max is provided in the regular paper box with every necessary thing you need while operating the phone except a pair of earphones/headphones. The box contains a 33W power adapter with a USB A-to-C cable. You also get a transparent silicone case. It also has a thin screen protecting layer on the screen already applied by manufacturer. And it also has a SIM ejector tool, warranty information, and user manual of phone within the box.



What’s new in MIUI 12?

The MIUI 12 has offered an optional app drawer which automatically organizes the apps in different categories. The first is all i.e., it contains all the applications, then follows communication, entertainment, photography, tools, new, business etc. You can edit these categories or even can disable it from settings.

Another interesting feature is the Notification shade split in Notification center and control center. As like in iPhones, you can bring the notification center by pulling left part of the screen and the control center by pulling right part of the screen. You can even disable this feature if it’s not your kind of thing.

In MIUI 12, a couple of privacy options had been added like while sharing photos and video or any other file, you can opt to remove the location info or any other metadata (incl. device info) to protect your privacy better.

The MIUI supports the Dark mode too and you can even force it on wallpapers and even restrict on incompatible individual apps.
